A big wide world opened up to me 8 months ago. A world of greater awareness, new ideas and some wonderful people to learn from and share it all with. A digital world.
After only two days in sunny San Francisco with some absolutely brilliant minds and beautiful souls, I realise I’ve just cracked the surface. I’ve had a peek inside but the best is yet to come.
Inaugural Wisdom 2.0 Conference
Tomorrow, the Wisdom 2.0 Conference starts. On the program:
Mindfulness in the Modern World
- Managing the Stream: Living Consciously and Effectively in a Connected World
- From Email Apnea to Embodied Computing: The Breath and Technology
- Mindfulness and the Brain: What Science Tells Us
- Post-Modern Practice: Awareness and Wisdom in the Age of Technology
Exploring Happiness (featuring Tony Hsieh and Chris Sacca)
This weekend brings with it a wonderful opportunity to take a look at what I’ve learned so far. The sessions presented and the ensuing conversations will also give me a better idea of what I can do with that knowledge and where it can lead me. It’s an exciting time and I very much look forward to sharing it with you.
And to think it all started with twitter. :)
Gratefully yours,
David.
P.S. Want to join the fun?
The @digitalforgood crew that are here, @edwardharran, @samanthabell1, @suzieis, @rosshill, @janstewart and myself, will all be tweeting from the conference - currently tweets are tagged #wisdom2conf
We’ll be posting summaries and highlights from each session with links to any online goodies provided on digitalforgood.com To explore the topics covered in more detail, Eddie, Sam and I will also be recording conversations with Wisdom 2.0 presenters and participants on video. Please let me know if you have any questions by posting them in the comments section below.
